The only reason i looked you up was to see if this was your job, a music critic. Which would make this fine. But since your in a band also, i find it a bit low for a musician to give another musician a review. Let alone a damaging one.
That's completely not true. Why should musicians not review other musicians? I'm sure there are loads of people in bands writing on this site - standard. Also the point of a review is to assess the music. And this is what I do. Within the review I discuss musical aspects, instrumentation, comparisons to existing and successful acts and more - the personal opinion is what brings it all together. It does not matter if you don't like what I got to say as you can chose not to agree with it. Your point suggetsing that if a music critic had written it then it would be ok, but if a musician had then it wouldn't is pretty weak as well. Since this website exists to give a great many (unpaid) people the chance to review music you have to expect that you are not going to get official music critics because they get paid for their work. The fact that you looked me up and brought up that I was a musician although I make no mention of that on the page, on my profile or within the review suggests a great lack of professionalism from you.
You read a review to find out one person's opinion. I said within in the review that I'm sure some people will love it, I'm sorry that I can't get into and that all music deserves a fair crack. On the whole I think I was pretty fair. I'm not even sure why you care so much. Is this your band by any chance?
