Now normally I'd just shrug this off... top 40 normally doesn't interest me that much bar a couple of acts atm (Florence and the Machine being one of them)

This week however confirmed something... the industry at the moment seems to be more style over substance.

A few months back I got to see La Roux live, the plan was even though i was interviewing the band I actually wanted to see the most (The Chapman Family... listen to Kids...) I wanted to see if the rumours of her being called (alledgedly) Danny La Roux when it came to her singing where true.

The rumours were sort of right, she'll probably get better as the nerves go away (btw NME saying that the whole nerves thing makes her a darling... I find to be untrue, it's the whole 80's revival)

However when it comes to this week... I thought MJ had dedicated fans that would be dloading his songs in droves (granted i'm a fan of Thriller and Beat It but that's about it), it hit me time for the new generation to step up and despite this they did! (even though the Foamo dubstep remix which i find better then the original was NOT on the single...)

So in a way congratulations to her but at the same time... there's a feeling in my mind that maybe we should have given MJ his last moment in the sun.
