Cage The Elephant - A Day In The Life of Video Feature and Camden Crawl



	Bowling Green, Kentucky's finest, Cage The Elephant stopped by the Altsounds HQ during their recent UK tour. They performed two brand new, exclusive and unheard acoustic tracks and chatted to Altsounds.com about life and music. The 8 minute feature was Produced and Directed by Chris Maguire (Ben's Brother, Fiction Plane, Fightstar) and was filmed after spending a complete day with the wild and crazy Cage The Elephant boys and showcases the real personalities that make up the band! Discover all the glorious grit and grime and find out exactly what happens backstage at a Cage The Elephant show after they have successfully torn the venue apart with their unique and raucous stage show. There is a completely exclusive Altsounds.com acoustic track which underlies the feature, showcasing a completely different and more intimate side to what people have come to expect from this Kentucky quintet. The track "Cover Me Again" was written and arranged one day prior to it being recorded and produced at Screamadelica Studios in Cardiff and subtly demonstrates one of Matt's biggest influences, Bob Dylan. For critics that have, or are looking to pigeon hole Cage The Elephant as "just another dumb rock band" this 8 minute insight shatters all of these pre-conceived opinions and proves there is a lot more to Cage The Elephant than meets the eye. With a slew of UK dates ahead of them and many more audiences to scintillate, Cage The Elephant prove that "There Ain't no Rest for The Wicked"! Cage The Elephant will also be hitting up the Camden Crawl over the weekend. Chris Maguire was asked to direct and animate a 45 second looping video only art installation that will be shown in it's full glory across 8 TV's all weekend at the Camden Crawl. Four Year Strong
An Hour in the Life Of...

Four Year Strong recently visited Cardiff, Wales for the first time and the lucky chaps at the Altsounds.com HQ were invited along to their show in Clwb Ifor Bach to have a chat with the guys and to offer a fly on the wall documentary detailing what happens during an hour in the life of Four Years Strong! Altsounds.com chatted with the Four Year Strong guys about life in general, their favorite and least favorite Four Year Strong songs, beards and facial hair and the many different types there are, British money and all sorts of other equally random and interesting stuff.

The Altsounds.com interview was initially planned to be conducted with a live session at the Altsounds HQ in Cardiff, however this got canceled last minute meaning Altsounds.com ended up having to go to the venue to get it done. After setting up their lighting equipment in the dressing rooms, the gig that would be happenning later downstairs in Clwb Ifor Bach's sound check began and drowned out the Altsounds.com's interview sound. So, they then decided to get it done in front of some grafitti wall outside the venue but, some asshole guy was threatening to phone the cops if Four Year Strong didn't move their van out of the alley etc etc etc etc etc!!! Basically, the video footage that you see here probably wasn't meant to happen, but Altsounds.com rode the storm and have ended up with one of their most down to earth and intimate insights into a band that has been done to date.

Trust us when Altsounds.com tell you to continually watch this space with regards to Four Year Strong as they know the band are going to be huge over the coming months/years.

We are proud to announce the signing of the first ever artist to Altsounds Records. In fact, Altsounds.com loved Winch House so much that Altsounds Records was finally created to help support them.

In an environment where bands are a dime a dozen they've thrived and developed an intensely fresh sound. Living on a diet of Mayday Parade, All Time Low, Taking Back Sunday and Valencia amongst many others, Winch House forge a sound which is both refreshing and unique, whilst at the same time Winch House somehow manage to sound remarkably familiar.

Youth culture, massive choruses and a sound which is more addictive than crack all combine to make Winch House a must know band. Mix this with an awesome sense of humour, dashing good looks and Winch House will quickly take over your life. "In all seriousness", you need this band in your life!

Filming for the music video commences on June 1st 2008 in various locations around the UK and a "Making Of" video will be available for all to see fairly shortly after filming has finished on the video.
