choking!hazard  formed in 1999 and soon built a buzz around the Vaal Triangle metal community with their blend of metal, Hard Rock, thrash, and progressive metal flourish.

They secured a deal with Inhouse Records and in July 2005 issued the track Circle on the Fat Free compilation album.
The line up includes vocalist Faf Kotze, drummer Henk Kramer, bassist Tiens van Zyl and guitarist Louis Venter.

They have been  well received at various venues across South Africa and their fan base grows after every gig. The internet has also been a great tool for choking!hazard with a growing fan base in the US, UK, Europe and Australia proving that their music appeals to the international and local market.

choking!hazard prides themselves in having a fun, energetic and entertaining stage performance which provides for a must see show.
Their debut EP titled Small Parts have been launched and it's currently for sale at their shows. They will be touring South Africa promoting the EP in 2008.
