Lukestar - Interview with Truls Altsounds was lucky enough to sit down with Truls from Norwegian indie rockers Lukestar for a chat about life and inspirations. The boys are have just released their second full album release called "Lake Toba" which is in stores everywhere on Tuba records. Interested in finding out what these crazy guys sound like?? Check out the video for their single "White Shade" below the interview. What type of band are you? We are a 4-piece exploitation of Norwegian pop music ,with English lyrics. Tell us the brief history of your band. Lukestar has existed for some years(Maybe always). We were fishermen and mountaineers before we decided to dedicate our life to music. We´ve recorded 2 albums and toured Europe and Norway A LOT. What are your dreams and goals? Our songs tells stories we want everyone in the world to hear. The sky is the limit and to tour all over Tellus. Who writes the songs, what are they about? I,Truls write the most of them, however, we do arrange them together. The songs are about the strange universe, the river i´ve lived next to my whole life, love, and the holy female. Tell us about your next shows and why we should be there. We´re touring USA,UK and rest of Europe. Playing songs from Lake Toba (our last album) some old and new material. We play till we bleed every night, and something mysterious always happens. What are the biggest obstacles for bands? Learning their instruments, and making good songs. What's new in the recording of your music? You really have to hear for yourself. My vocal, people don´t believe it´s me singing before they see it live. What inspires you to do what you do? The wilderness of Norway inspires a lot. Sleeping outside under the moon and fishing for your dinner. Other music like classical, black metal, McCarthy and Malady. What advice would you give to fellow bands? Focus only on the music and forget about the rest. ALBUM LAKE TOBA RELEASED SEPTEMBER 22ND 2008 ON PHONE ME (TUBA) RECORDS White Shade Music Video: |
