WHAT ARE THOSE TABS ON THE SIDE OF THE WEBSITE????
I'll tell you what they are - they're the expansion of Altsounds! We've had both the studio and the label for a while now, but we're kicking it into high gear, making records and getting them out into the world. These sites are still under construction, but no one can blame you for being ridiculously excited. We're on the path to global domination, after all.
If you just can't wait to hear what's coming out of Screamadelica Studios, check us out on MySpace and don't forget to add us as a friend!

Altsounds.com is scouting for musical tastemakers, we want avid music lovers to speak their mind and contribute to the site. Reviewers, photograpers, interviewers, bloggers, the whole shebang.
Altsounds.com is quickly becoming the most trusted musical taste-making resource. Think of us as a musical sieve. We make sure the shit music goes down the drain ensuring only the most quality bands get noticed. Our review team are not scared to knock a band off their pedestal whilst at the same time they are equally not afraid of elevating a band to super stardom. This is where you come in. We are seeking taste-makers in all the alternative genres. By alternative we mean "alternative to the mainstream". Taste-makers with a love for all genres are urged to apply.
We are looking for the guy [or girl] that starts a fanzine for his/[her] favourite band or someone that goes to gigs to take photos because they love that style of music. We are looking for people that love vinyl and equally people that love what an MP3 brings to the table. We are looking for people that will always listen to an album they have never even heard in the hope it will be the next amazing album. People that know music.

You like good music yes? Well Altsounds sorts the men from the boys. Here are the best releases to get your ears all moist. Anyone who read my Mclusky Ex Files feature earlier this year, will have an idea of how much of a fan of them I remain. The pain felt after their ‘passing’ was eased a little when singer/guitarist Andy "Falco" Falkous and drummer Jack Egglestone formed Future of the Left with ex-Jarcrew singer/bassist Kelson Mathias, releasing their excellent debut album....

I am such a new music junkie that whenever I discover an artist for the first time that I like, I automatically assume they must be new, and what I am listening to must be their debut release. If I discover that this is in fact not the case then I wonder .....

Like a candy flipping club kid, I shat myself and hugged a stranger as the intro to "Shout At The Doner" began. Before "Mr. Wobbles Nightmare" I was all of the dancing fool my discotechque conception intended me to be. What can I say? .....

Engineers - Three Fact Fader [Album]
There is a certain presence around Engineers that carries them over into one of the most unique artists releasing music at this moment in time. They manage to create this warm textured layer of sound that is simply beautiful. This alongside a haunting, yet uplifting vocal contribution makes Engineers a pioneer in adventurous dream pop music. .....

An advisory “do not listen” comes attached to these releases. Altsounds is not afraid to speak it’s mind.
Danny B and Little Dave are not the kind of names that people would normally associate with a rock band. Danny B and Little Dave however, do sound like the names of two very bad, extremely ridiculous, white rappers, who make Vanilla Ice look talented. .....

Bloc Party [Live] @ The Relentless Garage This gig held special significance as it was one of the very first gigs to be put on at the newly reopened and newly renamed Relentless Garage in Highbury, North London. The Garage used to be a great little venue and had played host to a massive number of gigs over the years ending in it closing down 3 years ago ...

Deerhoof [Live] @ The Deaf Institute, Manchester Three of the most memorable moments of the Deerhoof show at the Deaf Institute and three Deerhoof track names rolled in to one as my opening statement! Yeah. That’s the height of my creative limit in comparison to what I witnessed and loved at this one particularly fine evening of music at the Deaf Institute in Manchester; a grand, if not a little pretentious venue ...

Speaking with the bestest artists of today about their goings on and private matters you all want to know about.
Leon Russell is a Genius! 'Nuff said. I first saw Leon when my dad played me his "Concert For Bangladesh" DVD, and I have listened to almost everything that he has released since then. It is a considerable body of work considering that he has been writing, recording, performing or producing music continually for the last fifty years...
The Angel Brothers have produced a new album at long last! The eponymously titled ANGEL BROTHERS will be released on Navigator Records in spring 2009. Dave and Keith Angel describe the new cd as their best yet. The album was inspired by the recent death of their father Ivor Angel who was a real lover of life and a constant source of encouragement and inspiration to the two brothers.
Altsounds got a chance to speak to them about the new album, gigs and the universe ......
You can be the first to say “Yeah I have heard of them, they were on Altsounds introducing". In a way, Blacklist was an accident. Not an accident like cars colliding - more like atoms crashing. Singer Josh Strawn hadn't expected to end up in another rock and roll band, but he landed in one anyway. When bassist Ryan Rayhill first met Josh, he immediately identified a potential co-conspirator. The two bonded over their shared enthusiasm for the intellectual anxiety of Wire, The Sound, and The Comsat Angels as well as the unapologetic bombast of Motorhead and Sabbath. .....

Seems like everyone else still is.
