We also had one of our team providing some exclusive interviews at the festival which you need to check out. All of this is below so go check it out!

LEEDS 2009 FESTIVAL LIVE REVIEW BLOG
One man, one Blackberry

Altsounds.com is growing by the minute, I mean it's unbelievable. This year we had the opportunity to give our readers an exclusive. We sent out one of our review team to Leeds Festvial 2009 with one mission, to review the festival as it happened. Go check it out HERE

Laura Bradshaw took to the press tent at Leeds festival this year and seems to have a natural talent for bugging bands. All of the bands below where person-to-person interviews at Leeds Festival

Altsounds.com Q&A Interview - Dallas Green of Alexisonfire

Alexisonfire get pulled apart into the different media lion pits - just as Deftones start up on the main stage. Bad timing. And Dallas is clearly disappointed to be missing the Deftones set. I force him onto my interrogation sofa and squeeze in next to him, as he has sat right in the middle ...

Altsounds.com Q&A Interview - Dananananaykroyd

I convinced the tour manager of Dananananaykroyd to allow me a few minutes with the band, who had come from straight from Paris and were barely surviving on two hours sleep. I managed to keep them chatting until they could crash out in their tour bus ...

Altsounds Q&A Interview: Frank Turner

After interviewing the lovely Lethal Bizzle I turned around and saw a very calm and collected Frank Turner. He had just finished his interviews for the day so I put my serious music journalist glasses on and requested and impromptu interview which he very kindly agreed to. As I was setting up ...

The Lowdown: With Lethal Bizzle

I was waiting around for an hour for Lethal Bizzle to show. He was signing stuff and talking to fans non-stop since his set and I was buzzing with excitement. I managed to crawl out from the press tent to see his set, which was incredibly lively, and I gained so much more respect for him in ...

Altsounds.com Q&A Interview - Dan Haigh of Fightstar

I met up, somewhat cautiously and ever-so-slightly hypocritically, with Dan Haigh from Fightstar. Having always slated the band to my friends I was interested to see what he could say and if it would sway my opinions. After meeting Dan, I will - when I get a second - check out more of the ...

The Lowdown: With Sean and James of The Blackout

Last minute I was asked to interview The Blackout. Technically, I found an exclusive on their loves of heroin and racism, and the fact that they think my editor hates them, but not a lot else. And considering they were joking about the Class A usage and the racism, I'm not sure this interview ...

The Lowdown: Matt, Josh and Ty from Broadway Calls

Broadway Calls sit down around me on the floor eagerly awaiting my questions, seemingly keen to get back out to the festival. They joke around, and are very smiley. Matt is full on and has a pleasant but intense look on his face, Josh is the most relaxed and Ty seems to be scoping me out ...

The Lowdown - Andy, Scott and Chris of The Living End

Whilst swigging at a horrible energy drink that tasted of stale Orangina, I was originally waiting for Letha Bizzle but one of the lovely promoters from Scream Promotions asked me to interview his favourite band, The Living End who had come all the way from down under. I peered over and saw ...

The Lowdown: Brandon and Travis of Atreyu

Fresh from Warped Tour, I interviewed Brandon and Travis from Atreyu. It was my first interview using my brand new equipment and the Atreyu boys were both chirpy and patient. They are such great guys. Brandon especially was brilliant, I hope they really do have a never-ending story ...

Altsounds.com Q&A Interview - Laila Khan of Sonic Boom Six

I was waiting around for Madina Lake, but I just couldn’t hold it anymore…I had to take a bathroom break. Luckily for me, whilst jogging – pretty unattractively – to the portaloos, I saw a flash of bright red hair. I ran back out again and approached Laila Khan for an unscheduled interview in ...

Altsounds.com Q&A Interview: Geoff Rickley from Thursday

I met up with Geoff Rickley from Thursday but had left my notes about the band in my tent! Oh no school girl error. I confessed that I hadn’t got anything and the charming guy just laughed. He was pretty shy but articulate, funny and endlessly polite. We sat on the floor and um, got down ...
