Frankie & The Heartstrings cover The Jesus And Mary Chain

This week we have Frankie & The Heartstrings doing the classic The Jesus And Mary Chain song: "Just Like Honey". This cover was recorded during their Australian tour last year, and when you're adapting an iconic song like this one you have to be careful because it can turned out to be exactly the same as the original or completely different, and in both cases it will be a failure.

Lucky for us, Frankie & The Heartstrings managed to pull it off brilliantly with this stripped down version that still has all the melancholic bitterness of the 80s single, but also portraits a very sweet an intimate side of the Heartstrings.

To me it's a spot on cover from wherever you look at it. What do you think?
