The panned reverberation of the Ozzy Osbourne’s voice screaming “AAALLLLLL AABOOOOARRRDDD” makes a young child shudder with fear. Then comes the thudding of the bass and its drum counterpart in time with your heart. Cutting through the tension arrives the slashing guitar riff before the song evolves in to something relatively funky. The searing runs inbetween chords, on top of chords and inside chords by the widely missed Randy Rhoads prove his merit for being called one of the greatest guitarists ever, while Osbourne attempts to hold his notes while warbling his dark but thoughtful lyrics. Then comes the unreal guitar solo. Before the close of the song, Ozzy speaks with his voice pitched in to something quite horrific, which once again would panic a nervous 12-year old in to thinking the Prince of Darkness will emerge from his stereo system.
