I decided to go a different way again for this weeks issue of Triple Threat Tuesday. For some reason this week I was struggling with the inspiration for the issue. A lot has gone on for me over the past week or so and, as such it's kind of understandable.
Looking for inspiration I went to 88 Orchard Street, a hip coffee shop just up the road from where I live, with my iPhone spinning tunes in random in the hopes that something will spark my inspiration and, alas it did! The artist in question was Bleed Electric and, the difference between this week's issue and others is that Bleed Electric is, in fact my band.

Bleed Electric - The Early Days // I included this photo because not only was this one of the first ever Bleed Electric promo photos, it is also one of the most rare and I can't believe how BIG and LONG my hair was.
Recently releasing our third EP Let The Invasion Begin, the track that inspired me to write the feature on Bleed Electric was actually 'IX Rapid Eye Movement' which was actually taken off our second EP So Sick.
Probably one of the craziest tracks we have ever taken on, XI Rapid Eye Movement is four songs in one, the chapters are as follows: I. Better Than A Weekend In Spain, II. Hoobanging, III. Beverely Spilled Pop and IV. Wooden Shoes From Amsterdam. Each chapter seamlessly moving in to the next one, with XI Rapid Eye Movement starting with the sound of a real pig getting slaughtered and ending in us talking about clogs! The core idea was that XI Rapid Eye Movement was audibly meant to feel like dreaming, where you drift in and out of different dreams, while the overall song holds itself together as one bigger dream i.e. a nights sleep. At this point I am going to shut up and let you just listen to XI Rapid Eye Movement and enjoy it for yourself!

Bleed Electric - One of my favourite Bleed Electric photos ever taken. This photo was taken in Cardiff Bay and is outside the Coal Exchange. The photo was taken by Kevin Barnes.
As mentioned, XI Rapid Eye Movement was taken from Bleed Electric's second EP So Sick. For the next track I want to go to our latest EP Let The Invasion Begin. 'Trinity' is the first track off the EP and is an epic Rock / Hip-Hop behemoth with a solo that most rock bands would be jealous of. This is our first statement of intent of our true sound and shows what will come from Bleed Electric in the future. 'Trinity' explores religion, the end of the world, the Illuminati plus a ton more. If you're looking for a Bleed Electric track to make you think, 'Trinity' would be it as we never answer anything, but leave you with more questions coming out of it than you went in with!

The third threat for the day is a taster of our new EP. Also titled Accidental Genius, our third EP takes the musical statement made on Let The Invasion Begin and stretches it further forward, cementing us and our unique sound.
Anyone that says electronic musicians can't play instruments, just have a listen to what we're doing and then come back and make that statement! 'Accidental Genius' is a homage to the accidental moments that occur during our recording sessions that we referred to as 'Accidental Genius' where you actually don't plan on something, but it comes out amazingly. 'Accidental Genius' is our dance floor slammer, the summer feel good tune that will forever remind you of where you were and what you were doing during the summer of 2012.

Until next week everyone where I will be hitting you with a Triple Threat of awesomeness again! Who knows where I will be writing next weeks installment from?
Peace x
