"get, get, get, in line and settle down", and take a look at their video now

I never thought I'd see the day when No Doubt were back together again, making the same rock reggae magic that they made during the 90's, especially as they all went their seperate ways to focus on solo projects. Gwen Stefani and her boys are definitely back in town, and they've made a dazzling come back with their brand spanking new single 'Settle Down'. The video that accompanies their latest offering is filled with the No Doubt colour, sparkle, attitude and sheer randomness that we've loved over the years.

We're first introduced to the band seperated and alone, driving in mad lorries and talking through a radio to each other, symbolising the fact that the four single entities are back together again as the powerful musical force that goes by the name of No Doubt. They meet at a ridiculous party, and embrace, just as old friends do, before starting to rip the place up with instruments in hand. The carnivalesque scenes are set in the deep of night, which contrats their colour and vibrancy brilliantly.

No Doubt has always managed to get away with blending fragments of music from different cultures, such as rock and reggae, pop and traditional Asian music, to ska and hip hop, and within one song there's a cultural festival going on whilst people are jumping on lorries, dancing in the shadows and bursting onto the screen in a flurry of freedom and fun. I absolutely adore the way Gwen and the gang highlight cultural imagery for moments in the song and then we're smashed back into the pop fury again.

There's just so much I can write about this fantastic visual spectacle, so "get, get, get, in line and settle down", and take a look at their video now.
