August is right around the corner and some of us still have hope to find a few days of sun hidden behind the rain. If that doesn't happen, don't worry cause we have an awesome festival for you to help you enjoy what's left of the summer: the 8th edition of Y-NOT Festival has an exciting set of acts that complements the picturesque location, right in the middle of the Peak District National Park.

The View, The Wombats, and We Are Scientists will be the headliners on Friday, Saturday and Sunday respectively and the guitars don't stop there cause you'll be also able to see The Pigeon Detectives, British Sea Power, The Subways, Reverend & The Makers and one of the only two festival appearances of Frankie & The Heartstrings whom been cooking their second album and are likely to be doing a little test drive of some of the new tracks.

If you're after something a bit more devastating you'll be able to catch the Marmozets, Rollo Tomassi, Lower Than Atlantis, Hadouken! and PulledApart By Horses whom I'm sure will be causing some chaos in the moshpit.

Y-NOT is also a great place to see many of the new buzz bands, so don't miss the sets of The Cast Of Cheers, Fixers, FOE, King Charles, BigKids the unbelievable Jake Bugg and make sure you also go see one of our favorites: Sound Of Guns performing on the main stage Friday afternoon.

All the action will be divided among 4 stages, one of them dedicated to upcoming new local bands. There's also a few novelties this year, like the Ice Bucket, a rockabilly themed bar that will be joining the list of places to relax and have a few drinks in between bands, and you'll be also able to find Olympic Fields on site with events you can sign up for throughout the day including volleyball, long jump, the 100m sprint, tug of war, etc. The best part is that after each tournament there will be a prize-giving ceremony where the medalist will get what every athlete needs – a well earned bar tab.

The tickets for this awesome weekend are only 75 Pounds, and you should get them quickly cause the event is likely to sell out any time soon like it happened the last 3 years. You can get yours here: Y-NOT FESTIVAL 2012
