The complimentary flows of Jurassic 5’s distinctive members bounce through ‘Work It Out’ with the group’s natural cool on full display. The six-piece rap crew teamed with music mogul Dave Matthews to produce one of the finest songs of the band’s 15-year career. J5 always had a touch of political awareness to their lyricism, but it also centred around basketball. The video to ‘Work It Out’ takes care of the political side of the group and the song’s narrative takes care of the exercise.

The Story

Released off Jurassic 5’s fourth studio album Feedback, ‘Work It Out’ was a moderate success in comparison to some of their singles.

The song is about getting through tough times and working out your problems, and with it featuring Dave Matthews on chorus vocals added an air of calm about it.

It reached #116 on the US Singles chart and appeared on the basketball game NBA Live 07.
