Black Eyed Peas made their money of the ridiculous singles like ‘Where Is The Love?’ and ‘My Humps’ but where the lyrical content may sometimes appear weak and commercial, the Black Eyed Peas made sure their albums were packed to the rafters with hip-hop delights including ‘Audio Delite At Low Fidelity’.

The beat was reminiscent of something you’d expect to hear from Dr. Dre or Snoop in the mid-90, with Will Smith’s ‘Summertime’ ambiance provided by samples from funk mini-master Rick James. The rhymes may have been fairly typical of the Peas at this point in their career, but they are spit with greater precision and flow than normally heard on the bigger tracks.

The Story
As ‘Audio Delite At Low Fidelity’ was a bonus track and didn’t appear on every copy of the Monkey Business album, it will have been quite well hidden from the majority of the world.

The song is primarily about why the Black Eyed Peas are greater than any other rap group, featuring the usual bravado that comes with hip-hop. There is an additional short-track at the end of the song about ‘Change’.

With the hugely successful single releases of ‘Don’t Phunk With My Heart’, ‘Don’t Lie’, ‘My Humps’ and ‘Pump It’, the album Monkey Business hit #1 top 5 in the album charts in US, Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Germany, New Zealand, Switzerland, and the UK selling over 10,000,000 worldwide.
