On a daily basis, we're constantly inundated with news. News about political affairs, news about what's happening in the sporting world, entertainment news that's now more like gossip as opposed to actual news, and news about family, friends, and the cat down the road. Basically, information has never been easily attainable than it is today. In some way, this is fantastic, enabling us to constantly develop our brains, and in another way, we're bombarded with so much crap we have to wade through it to get to the good bits...

As the damning report of the 1989 Hillsborough disaster was released this past week, Liverpool Football Club fans have come together, and thousands have offered their support, and successfully pushed ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ by Gerry and the Pacemakers to #1. The song was adopted by football association choirs around the UK and the world, but particularly in Liverpool, nearly twenty years after Rodgers and Hammerstein wrote it for the musical Carousel.

A super hippy long after his time, Billy Corgan has opened up a tea shop which he has said is “a place with no age boundaries”. Bound to attract pretension galore, Madame ZuZu’s is located in Highland Park in Chicago and has “jazz age décor” throughout. Another rapper dead:
The hip-hop feud between Chief Keef, with the Interscope stable of Eminem, 50 Cent and Dr Dre, and affiliates of Lil JoJo, who died during a drive-by-shooting last week. Lil JoJo had previously released a diss track toward Lil Reese, a friend of Chief Keef and the 300 Squad. 300 Squad are rumoured to be linked to the Black Disciples, which has an intense rivalry with Gangster Disciples, which Lil JoJo was said to be part of.WATCH // Lil JoJo – 3HunnaK
Free Pussy Riot continues...:
The Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has taken a stance against the lengthy jail sentence of Pussy Riot members who singing about political links between the Russian cathedral and Vladmir Putin, the president. Some of the band’s supporters believe his speech is disingenuous, where he said “a suspended sentence, taking into account time they have already spent [in jail] would be entirely sufficient”.
This just in… Chris Brown IS a douche:
Seriously. Have you seen this? Chris Brown gets a beat up woman tattooed on his neck and claims it is “art” representing a “Mexican sugar skull”. Not wishing the worst for anyone, Rihanna deserves to be embroiled in this type of controversy if she is as close to Brown as things seem (they were seen kissing at the MTV VMA’s recently). It takes strength to forgive people sometimes. But others it takes even more to not forgive them, and Rihanna clearly needs to be a bit stronger.
