'Bitter Ditty' is a song about love gone wrong. It’s a concise, modern, piano jazz-blues. Sung by an angry man, we hear of love slipping by the wayside as each lover details the other’s shortcomings in sharp, single lines. She finds him needy, young, drunk and pessimistic. He finds her cold and old, belligerent and bitter. His own bitterness emerges in tongue-in-cheek, in a mixture of humour and genuine anger.
Danny Sherwood is a singer songwriter performing lyric-led, jazz-tinged folk blues. He's blessed with a deep, rich baritone which serves as the perfect channel for his dramatic, piano led songs.
