Evanescence perfected the sound of female fronted metal on the album Fallen. The numerous successive successful singles proved they weren’t a #OneHitWonderWednesday type of band, and they arguably could have released more from that album, including ‘Tourniquet’. This live version captures the haunting vocals of Amy Lee with her unique combination of power and delicacy. The lead guitar harmonics juxtapose the furious chugging of the rhythm section and established this unreleased as a fan-favourite.

The Story
After several years of performing together as Evanescence, Ben Moody and Amy Lee hit the big-time with their debut album Fallen, which has sold over 15 million albums to date.

The major singles Everybody’s Fool’, ‘My Immortal’ and ‘‘Bring Me To Life’ all reached Top #25 in the UK and Australia with the latter reaching #1 in both, and Top #10 practically everywhere with a chart worth listening to.

‘Tourniquet’
is a Soul Embraced cover, and was brought to Evanescence by Rocky Gray, who has played drums for both bands at various points. The album credits Gray as well as Lee, Moody and musical composer and arranger David Hodges.
