Not technically just one remix, but three for the Remix of the Day feature today. After listening to Björk's Biophilia Remix Series VI, I thought it would only be fair to place all the remixes within the one feature due to the quality. As choosing one is just too difficult. So I'll leave that one up to you.

This is the sixth in an eight-part series of remixes of tracks from Björk’s Biophilia. Not only that, but Björk has just announced a remix album bastards, an album of remixed tracks from Björk’s Biophilia set for release on November 19th. This album includes some of the remixes released in the eight-part series earlier this year selected by Björk and remastered for this album by Grammy-nominee Mandy Parnell.
For the original Biophilia album, Björk chose and collaborated with app developers, scientists, writers, inventors, musicians, and instrument makers to create a multimedia exploration of the universe and its physical forces - particularly those where music, nature, and technology meet. Each of the 10 songs on Biophilia is available as an app for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. The Biophilia app suite was also named one of 2011’s Best Apps by Apple.

With so many remixes being released, it's pretty much impossible to decide which ones to check out first. The selection of remixes I have chosen for this feature are by British electronic musician Matthew Herberts also known as Herbert, Doctor Rockit, Radio Boy, Mr. Vertigo, Transformer, and Wishmountain.
Gliding through a shit-ton of eletronic sounds and a ridiculous amount of panning, reverb, delay and pretty much every kind of automation available. The Biophilia Remix Series VI gives you a taster of what is to come from the new remix album bastards later next month.
However, be warned before listening to the remixes. If you're not a fan of Björk's vocals, you fundamentally wont like these remixes, as they are very vocally rich. As always the Icelandic odd-ball places a vocal pattern within her tracks that to some, can be a little to ear-piercing. Luckily for me, I've always had a soft-spot for her unique sound, and it always hits the right spot in my bones. Check the remixes out, and if you want more, stay tuned for the new remix album.
