Oh yeah, we're back. You can even pinch yourself; but this is no dream. The "All You Need to Know About ..." series back. And this time we're delving deep into the archives to show you some of the best artists in the industry. Be prepared for a fact bomb, like MAD style. Except instead of Mutually Assured Destruction, it's Mutually Assured Awesomeness. This is serious.

Anywho, back on with the show, and for the first episode of Season 2, we're going with living legends of the metal world, the mighty, mighty Machine Head. This band are the epitome of hard work - their road to success has been longer than most bands these days. But my, oh my, have they earned it. For over twenty years, Machine Head have been climbing the long ladder to fame and glory, to now be at the top, the best of the best, the crème de la crème. Now if that's not enticing I don't know what is (except Katy Perry). Strap on your hard hat and high vis jacket, we're going into the world of Machine Head. To start us off, here's a little video.

LISTEN // Machine Head - 'Davidian'

Formed in 1991 in Oakland, California by Robb Flynn and Adam Duce, Machine Head were reasonably quiet for a fair while before they gained proper fame. Their first album Burn My Eyes was relatively successful, but it took untilThrough the Ashes of Empires before lots of people started turning heads. And then of course, we all know what happened next, in 2007.

That's right, The Blackening came out, transforming Machine Head into the metal powerhouse they are today. It was instant success, highlighting the immense musicianship, talent and hard work that the band stand for. After a mammoth world tour and a Grammy nomination, they released Unto the Locust last year, to yet even more applause. It cemented Machine Head's place on the pedestal of really fucking awesome.

List of Members:
  • Robb Flynn (lead vocals, guitar) - 1991-present

1997 - The More Things Change
1999 - The Burning Red
2000 - Year of the Dragon Tour Diary: Japan (EP)

2003 - Hellalive (Live)
2003 - Through the Ashes of Empires
2007 - The Blackening
2011 - The Black Procession (EP)
2011 - Unto the Locust
2012 - Machine Fucking Head Live

Must-Have Album:

Yeah, you knew it was gonna be this album. It couldn't be any other really, could it? That's right, The Blackening makes it top of the list, without a doubt. In my eyes, it's one of the greatest metal albums of all time. We're gonna take a listen to the epic "Halo" in it's 5 minute form, because it's the only one with the video to it. Sorry.

WATCH // Machine Head - 'Halo'

Recommended Album:

Now, now, let's not forget some other stonkin' albums. I'm going to recommend to you Through the Ashes of Empires, 'cause it has some right tunes on it. To prove it to you, here's "Imperium":

WATCH // Machine Head - 'Imperium'

Album to Avoid:

Yeah, well, we all have off days. Not that it's terrible, but Supercharger wasn't Machine Head's best now, was it? No. Either way, here a single from it - "Crashing Around You":

WATCH // Machine Head - 'Crashing Around You'

Latest Album:

Finally, the latest studio release from Machine Head, last year's Unto the Locust, is absolutely phenomenal. For me, it's just as good as The Blackening. Let "Locust" blow you away.

WATCH // Machine Head - 'Locust'

So there we have it. There is everything you need to know about Machine Fucking Head. Enjoy.
