FRIDAE: “You are an up and coming artist, share some information on what Sarah Jean Villa is all about?”
SJ: “It’s all about having a good time, my life story and making an impact in the music industry with my voice and my band.”
FRIDAE: "Do you have an album in the works?"
SJ: “Yeah, right now we are in the process of writing more material, we are writing and album but there is no set release date.”
FRIDAE: “I heard one of your tracks ‘Cherry Boy’ the music and your vocals are very similar to Amy Lee’s, do you think that having a similar sound to Evanescence a lot of people will write you off as a wannabe Amy Lee?”
SJ: “I don’t think I am similar to Evanescence at all! Evanescence is completely different; you have to listen to the lyrics and us as a whole package. I don’t compare myself to her at all, I respect her, she is a great artist. I don’t see the comparison, it is a little bit deeper, I don’t think ‘Cherry Boy’ sounds at all like Evanescence they are a harder metal style rock.”
FRIDAE: “Are you just a singer or do you play any instruments?”
SJ: “I sing, I do not play any instruments, I sing, perform, and rock out.”
FRIDAE: “Do you write your own lyrics then?”
SJ: “Yeah.”
FRIDAE: “Good stuff, good stuff!”
FRIDAE: "What got the ball rolling? What made you decide to get into the music industry?"
SJ: “I’ve been pretty much performing since I was three. I started out as a dancer, singer, and started acting when I was nine, so I have been in the industry for a bit. I’ve been working on my own thing for about two years, it’s a process.”
FRIDAE: “Tell me something about you, that you want people to know”.
SJ: “I want people to know about me, check me out listen to my music, go to my website be my fan. Like me or hate me, take me or leave me type of deal.”
