| | LBee's Blurb About Me: I have quickly become a media whore - complete with twatter account. To bury my sorrow and self loathing you can find me at clubs/gigs/pubs looking destroyed with an oblivious smile on my face. Who I'd Like To Meet: Patrick Stewart, John Lydon, Glenn Danzig, Brody Dalle, Picasso, Lemmy and my great-grand-father.
David Cameron, so I could nut him. What a pleb. LBee's Interests: General: Music - anything that shows creativity but mostly punk (generally not pop-punk), sunshine, laughter, friends, piercings, other people's tattoos, the saturised/raped burlesque scene, drinking tea - not herbal, girl talk, pictures, ignoring my mobile phone - watching it ring, consumersim of hair dye and nail polish, and swearing. I literally cannot speak a sentence without swearing, which is why I have made a conscious effort not to swear in my reviews.
Plus I like to pretend I can skate but actually I tried more recently and survived a meter before diving into grass and feeling safe but stupid - I'm getting old. Music: I LOVE female fronted bands but tend not to like singer-songwriters as a genre though there are individuals (Chris T-T) who are my light at the end of a narrow, claustrophobic tunnel.
I love The Distillers, Spinnerette, No Doubt, Bikini Kill, Ramones, Misfits (even though they scared the bejesus out of me when I was a kid), Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Blondie, Juliette and the Licks, and THE CLASH and The Prodigy blow my puny mind.
I am keen on Hole and Courtney Love, The Cure, Slipknot! The Specials, The Detroit Cobras, Dropkick Murphies, Operator Please, Public Enemy, Queen and Rancid. Oh, The Pogues and The Urban Voodoo Machine.
I cannot STAND Coldplay or Radiohead, (but RadioDread by Easy Star All Stars was pretty fun...) Movies / TV: Louis Theroux, Andrew Marr, Desperate Housewives and Star Trek Next Generation. Movies? The Sting, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, A Nun's Tale (I think that's what it's called) What Dreams May Come, Amelie, Moulin Rouge, Sin City and Tank Girl. Books: The War on Don Emmanuel's Netherlands by Louis De Bernieres, plays by Arnold Wesker, Biographies and Harry Potter.
