| | Mitch de Faria's Blurb About Me: Keeping it brief, I was a nurse and lecturer before running my own event management and PR company.
The Event Makers Ltd specialised in originating high end awards ceremonies and unusual events, mainly for the third sector. These were frequently difficult and gave me a reputation for creative delivery. You can Google me for more if you're interested.
Now disabled I occasionally still freelance in events and marketing communications. I'm also festivals director for ValeFest, a community music festival in the glorious Vale of Belvoir (find out more at www.valefest.com), blog extensively, broadcast on radio, create voiceovers and, of course, write music reviews.
My favourite joke is by Emo Philips; “I was in a bar the other night, hopping from barstool to barstool, trying to get lucky, but there wasn't any gum under any of them." Who I'd Like To Meet: Fred Astaire, Martin Luther King, Louis Armstrong, John F Kennedy, Marilyn Monroe, Pat Smythe, Bessie Smith, Edith Piaf and Agatha Christie.
If Fats Domino would consent to an interview I'd be there in a single bound. Mitch de Faria's Interests: General: The community, music and community arts and culture.
