I am saving my albums for now because I may well have to tactially vote in the offical poll, as the result is looking a little worrying at the moment IMO.

You know what, I was talking yesterday with my family, and I am RUBBISH at remembering things of interest. I have a great memory when it comes to events in my life and even just everyday meetings with people, I can remember where everyone sat and what they wore, butell me a fact - I'll forget it, tell me a joke - I'll forget it. If I read a book, I'll forget anything more than the basic story. Same with films. In fact I even forget what I have seen/read/heard.

I am rubbish

That said I do remember that I saw the Cohen Brothers new one 'Burn After Reading' the other week. That was quite good. Oh oh I have just remembered the best film of the year - Cloverfield. It's total film Marmite, a bit like The Blair Witch Project is (in my opinion that film was the work of genius), but I really loved it. I am great at leaving cynicism at the cinema door and letting myself become immersed in a film's world, so I really found this engrossing. Very well done I thought.

The Wire, South Park, Family Guy, The Simpsons, Russell Brand's Ponderland, The Mighty Boosh, 120 Minutes, Dragon's Den, Master Chef, The Apprentice and The Restaurant are still the best programmes on TV. Oh and anything with Anthony Bourdain in it, but I don't think he released anything new this year.

The best book I read all year was Ian McCewan's 'The Company of Strangers', although that wasn't released this year. Of this year's releases, I would say Alison Crogon's 'The Singing' was my favourite. I also read the classic 'I Am Legend' which is much better than the film (no I am not being twatty, the ending is MILES better; read it and you'll see), although I did quite enjoy that too.

Best band are Animal Collective just because I really fell in love with them this year (some of you may have notived), and I also saw the best live performance I saw all year which was by them in Barcelona. They also released an excellent EP.

Best song is just WAY too hard.
