I'm going to disagree here, Speech Debelle is good, but nothing special, not in my view anyway. I don't think worthy of a mercury award, but who was her competition?

Anthony And The Johnsons suprise win a few years back was abit like "What? Who the fuck is that?" but when you really listen to that guys originality and vocal textures it was sooooo worth the award, maybe even a medal.
