ThisCity-UK Tour
Following adventures on the recent Rival Schools tour, Brighton artcore five-piece ThisCity ready themselves for the release of single ‘We Move’ and Headline Tour of the UK
September 22nd sees Brighton’s fast rising five piece ThisCity release their latest ltd edition single through ultra-cool Oxford based singles label Alcopop Records.Following adventures on the recent Rival Schools tour, Brighton artcore five-piece ThisCity ready themselves for the release of single ‘We Move’ and Headline Tour of the UK
The track, entitled ‘We Move’ has recently become ThisCity’s crowd pleasing show opener with it’s thundering chant driven chorus and indie-disco taunting bass and guitar lines forcibly drawing people to the dancefloor like a magnetic field.
ThisCity have also added a new drummer (they are now sadly 5 drummers down in their short band life – they’re not dead or anything…..it’s a long story) to the line up since their tri-show extravaganza at Camden Crawl 08 and headline show at The Great Escape. Having broken in their new drummer on the recent Rival Schools tour, ThisCity went on to play storming sets at both Latitude (on Huw Stephens’ Radio 1 Introducing stage) and their first ever festival headline slot at Redfest in Surrey to 1000’s of kids looking for the next big thing to idolize. The band are also main support at London’s Astoria Theatre to US rockers Taking Back Sundays on August 21st.
The boys have recently filmed the video for ‘We Move’ at an ex-friend’s house party at a flat in Brighton. Turning up with a Super-8 camera, random members of other bands and getting stuck in landed the band with a clean up bill that cost twice as much as the video’s actual budget……..bizarrely ’cornflakes and a lot of liquids’ were the main culprits for the floor cleaning company apparently – you can see the shower and cornflakes shenanigans on the video at www.myspace.com/thiscitymusic
