Album Drops Nov 11th 2008
Remember those old dance shoes you used to break out every weekend, when Friday nights meant rocking out to the latest hard-hitting guitar riffs, and Saturday nights meant giving in to the pulsing electro-beats of the world’s most renowned DJ’s? Well you might want to scrounge around in your closet for that old pair kicking about sometime soon, because you’ll need them on September 9th, 2008.
That Tuesday night, NYC’s own club-rock trio BM LINX will take the stage at The Mercury Lounge (217 E. Houston St.), and send a grooving frenzy through the bodies of all show participants, leaving them no other option than to storm the dance floor with every ounce of energy they have.
BM LINX, known for their glamorous cohesion of darkly driven industrial rock and infiltrating electronica dance mixes, are guaranteed to captivate your mind as well as your dancing feet.
With the July 15th release of their new single, “Kids on Fire”, BM LINX has stirred up an astronomical amount of buzz. They were showcased at the legendary SXSW in 2007, and went on to
perform at Scion NextFest in Puerto Rico. In addition, their song, “Understanding Orange,” has received critical acclaim. The song was used in promos for the 2007 drama, “Hidden Palms” on the
CW Network, which estimated a viewership in excess of 3 million.
It's a growing discography of great songs like “Understanding Orange,” with its contagiously sinister melody, that turns the heads of industry professionals all over the world, including rock zealot Alan Moulder. With a track record of work for exceptional bands including Nine Inch Nails and the Smashing Pumpkins, Alan Moulder took on BM LINX’s new album, Black Entertainment, as a project after being captivated by their infectiously dark tunes upon hearing them in New York City.
Black Entertainment hits shelves worldwide on November 11th, 2008 on Craze Factory Entertainment.
