Altsounds - AVENGED SEVENFOLD WINS KERRANG'S ALBUM OF THE YEAR AWARD

Avenged Sevenfold were on-hand to accept Kerrang’s prestigious “Album of the Year” award in the UK today. The band’s latest self titled album “Avenged Sevenfold” beat out such artists as Bullet for My Valentine and In Flames.

A7X frontman M. Shadows had this to say to the band's fans following the ceremony-

"Wanted you guys to hear it directly from the band that our album Avenged Sevenfold just won Album of the Year at the 2008 Kerrang! Awards!

Receiving such an honor in the United Kingdom means so much to us because England has become like a second home. This summer has been the best of our career. We've seen so many of you in so many countries and you've all touched us.

We're so proud of how much love our fans in the US have always shown us. And now it means the world to us to know how many of you around the globe have been touched by our music.

Avenged Sevenfold will release a live CD/DVD titled "Live in the LBC & Diamonds in the Rough", shot in HD & 5.1 Audio which includes a full album of unreleased music from original recording sessions, rare covers and more.
