FOUR BRAND NEW SONGS AND TWO REMIXES FROM FOALS AND JONQUIL
Youthmovies are back to prove themselves once more as one the UK’s most interesting & musically diverse independent bands. The dynamic and passionate delivery of their unique convergence of music styles quickly made them one of the most respected bands in the New British Underground, and their pioneering of this highly contemporary, genre skewing music has it's background in the disparate music of geographically near neighbours Radiohead, and associated sound-world cousins, Battles.
Serving for many, the same touchstone commitment that Sonic Youth built in America and beyond in the 1980's,Youthmovies are perhaps not surprisingly are also one of the most hardworking. From co-organising tours with Foals, Dead Meadow & more to being Saul Williams Backing band, soundtracking cult classic film ‘The Tracy Fragments’ (Ellen page), headlining a slot at All Tomorrows Parties ‘ATP Vs the Fans’ to running Try Harder Records and now Andrew Mears and Yannis of Foals will be reuniting on musical endeavors and are set to release the debut from their new side project Bins are for Bombs in early 2009. its none stop!
