Drummer for local Austin, TX band Boxing Lesson, is set to begin his 60 month sentence in Federal Prison after being charged as a "narcoterrorist" under the Patriot Act. His wife is already in prison serving her sentence for 'conspiracy,' since she did not turn her husband in to authorities.

Apparently Jake Mitchell had been growing marijuana out of his home and selling it. Hardly a king pin drug smuggler, Mitchell still found himself arrested and charged with narcoterrorism, a charge usually reserved for the likes of Colombian drug lord, Pablo Escobar.

It should seem impossible that a US citizen growing and distributing relatively small amounts of marijuana would be considered a dangerous terrorist by the United States government, that sort of thing isn't so surprising these days.

In my opinion, this guy should get a medal. He is decreasing our dependence on foreign marijuana.

The band is trying to raise money and awareness about Jake Mitchell's case, so please spread the word. This is fucking ridiculous.
