Seabird's Single "Rescue" Selected By ABC To Promote New Season of "Pushing Daisies"

“Adventurous melodies and sharp hooks are a collaborative effort between the band and producers Jacquire King (Modest Mouse, Kings of Leon, Tom Waits) and Allen Salmon (Mute Math)” – Soul Shine Magazine

Multi-part harmonies hover around horns glistening in the summer sun while drums churn away massive rhythms guaranteed to pound themselves into your brain.” – First Coast News

New York, NY, September 5 -- ABC's returning Emmy award-nominated “dramedy” Pushing Daisies is promoting its new season with the latest single from Seabird, "Rescue”. The song will run with promos for the show that will air on television as well as online up until the new season starts in October.

Described as a "forensic fairy tale", Pushing Daisies is about a pie-maker who has the power to bring the dead back to life. The show premiered in the United States on October 3, 2007, on ABC.

This eccentric subject matter makes the choice of “Rescue” quite a match for Pushing Daisies with the lyrics: “I'm pushing up daisies, I wish they were roses. I feel like I'm drowning but nobody knows it… I feel like I'm dying, just want you to notice”

“Rescue” is from Seabird’s debut album Til’ We See The Shore which was released on June 24th on Credential Recordings. The album was produced by Jacquire King (Modest Mouse, Kings Of Leon) and Allen Salmon (Mute Math.) Consisting of brothers Aaron (vocals/keys) and Ryan (guitar) Morgan, as well as Chris Kubik (bass), and Aaron Hunt (drums.) The Cincinnati-based band’s upbeat pop sound, described by The Myriad’s John Roger Schofield as “like swimming in a summer river out in the clear, crisp, delicious mountains,” incorporates adventurous melodies with sharp hooks throughout the album’s 12 tracks.

Seabird will continue to tour – including upcoming dates with Mae – in support of Til We See The Shore for the remainder of 2008 and beyond.
