HELLOGOODBYE EMBARKS ON ECO-FRIENDLY FALL TOUR

Platinum selling artist HELLOGOODBYE is hitting the road on a US tour this fall October 23 through November 28, 2008. Always ready to do their part, HELLOGOODBYE will travel to the 25 dates in a veggie oil/bio-diesel converted van. Longtime buddies of the band and tour sponsor peta2 will be present at each show with an info booth promoting their new "Meat's Not Green" campaign.

Members of HELLOGOODBYE'S fan club can purchase presale tickets on Thursday September 11 at 12pm local time on Ducat King. General sale begins Saturday September 13 at 10am local on Ducat King.

HELLOGOODBYE is known for their free-spirited live shows, which in the past have included super-soakers, confetti canons, on-stage costumed dance parties and even a frat party. For this tour, the party starts before the show with a veggie BBQ hosted by HELLOGOODBYE and Forrest Kline, the band's bespectacled lead singer and grand poo-bah. The supporting acts, Ace Enders and a Million Different People, Never Shout Never, and (on select dates) Say No More and Play Radio Play will also rock the party. Ticket-holders are encouraged to participate in these festive and loose meet n' greets by bringing veggie-friendly grillables to share, spend time with the bands, and make new friends. Stay tuned to MySpace.com - hellogoodbye - Long Beach, California - Pop / Powerpop / Indie - www.myspace.com/hellogoodbye for more info.

HELLOGOODBYE is doing their best to make this tour as eco-friendly as possible. In addition to their veggie oil/bio-diesel van, the group has asked for biodegradable and/or recyclable items in their rider, banishing the individually packaged waters as well as encouraging recycling in the venues. HELLOGOODBYE is also incorporating eco-friendliness into their live performance, but the guys are keeping the how's and what's of that under wraps for now!

A longtime supporter of peta2, Forrest Kline starred in the "Love Animals Don't Eat Them" print campaign. Forrest and Travis Head star in a new video promoting peta2's "Woof!" campaign launching September 9, 2008 Think About It! // peta2. Peta2's booth on the HELLOGOODBYE tour promotes the "Meat's Not Green" campaign that spreads the word about the impact of factory-farmed animals on global warming and greenhouse gas emissions. A lot has happened to HELLOGOODBYE since the release of their 2006 album, Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! Original members Forrest Kline (lead singer and guitar) and Chris Profeta (drums) are joined by new members Travis Head (bass), Ryan Daly (guitar), and formerly of The Early November, Joe Marro (keyboards). The group is writing and recording in Forrest's recording in-house studio and will be performing new material along with old fan faves on this tour.

HELLOGOODBYE'S debut full-length album Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! netted the group's first RIAA Certified Platinum Single and Billboard Top Ten hit with "Here (In Your Arms)." But, it was their first release, a self-titled EP a.k.a. The Avocado EP that sprouted the Orange County sensation with hits like, "Dear Jamie" and "Shimmy Shimmy Quarter Turn." Both are available on Drive-Thru Records

HELLOGOODBYE has been the musical guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Last Call with Carson Daly, MTV's TRL, MTV Live and FUSE's Steven's Untitled Rock Show. The group has been featured by Alternative Press, Spin, Teen People, Kerrang!, Rock Sound, Cosmo Girl, New York Post, Los Angeles Times and many other national and international publications.
