JAY NASH Launches New Tour w/ Justin Nozuka!

JAY NASH
Los Angeles-Based rock troubadour launches new tour
w/JUSTIN NOZUKA
New album “The Things You Think You Need”
Out October 7th, 2008

Los Angeles, CA- September 10, 2008- Los Angeles based rocker Jay Nash has announced a new US tour kicking off September 13th with Justin Nozuka. The tour will span the country and extends into October in support of his 10/7 release The Things You Think You Need which features Sara Bareilles, as well as David Immergluck & Charlie Gillingham of Counting Crows.

Nash was recently chosen as a featured artist for Victoria’s Secret “Love Rock” page at VSPink.com. The page features artist bios, music and videos and new artists are hand selected each month. Nash’s video ffor “Wayfarer” can be seen on the site now. Past artists who have appeared include Flyleaf, Metro Station, The Spill Canvas and Charlotte Sometimes. Most recently, Jay Nash was invited to perform as the special guest on a sold-out show in support of Counting Crows and Maroon 5 at the Mystic Showroom in Prior Lake, MN.

Jay Nash will release his most mature and inspired album to date The Things You Think You Need on October 7th on Bonded/Fontana Records. An honest and engaging songwriter with a voice to match, Jay Nash has received praise from fans and critics alike, but his music speaks for itself. A genuine songwriter, a vibrant performer, Nash’s vitality seems to erupt through the very thing he has long since pledged his life to. The Things You Think You Need filters this soulful energy through the eyes of someone who has experienced the ebb and flow of life- the heartache, the happiness and all that lies between.

It’s certainly refreshing to find an artist that refuses to simply dwell on the hard times, instead choosing to bask in the good and the great that life has to offer. At times almost jovial, Nash’s charisma and buoyant attitude is infectious to the last with a sound capable of softening the sternest of hearts.

From the resplendent urgency of ‘Hard Lesson’ to the elegiac ‘Barcelona’, ‘The Things You Think You Need’ has the potential to surpass anything that’s gone before. The writing/recording process for this, his fourth studio album, saw Nash’s creative spark ignite like wild-fire as he wrestled with the concept of producing an album laden with variety and character.

By drawing inspiration from his own life experiences, both past and present, Nash’s inspirational and evocative lyrical imagery possesses the ability to shatter those deep-rooted inadequacies and musters a feeling of liberation and new-found confidence. There’s no sign of an agenda here - Nash’s spirited folk revival offers salvation for the masses.
