“HANDLEBARS”
UK RELEASE DATE – 22nd SEPTEMBER
DEBUT ALBUM: “FIGHT WITH TOOLS”
UK DIGITAL RELEASE – 14th JULY
UK PHYSICAL RELEASE – 29th SEPTEMBER

“‘I can ride my bike with no handlebars’ is quickly becoming a staple catchphrase
in cubicles from coast to coast” - MTV.com
"Rage Against The Machine on a Rocky Mountain high...Linkin Park as an acoustic jam band" - Los Angeles Times
Flobots are a rip roaring 6 piece fighting force who hail from Denver, Colorado who formed in 2005 in the aftermath of the previous years Presidential election. Compared to and a mix of The Roots, Rage Against The Machine and NERD, they quickly elevated their shows to “socially aware” happenings and used their songs to express their aims and views. Their album “Fight With Tools” debuted at number 15 in the US Billboard album chart (it will be released in the UK digitally in July and physically in September) and has already garnered rave reviews from critics across the U.S. The Los Angeles Times called Fight With Tools ‘a focused flip-book of progressive-leaning issues: corporate greed, Guantanamo, the Iraq war, globalization, racism, government-sanctioned assassination, the plight of the powerless.’

The single “Handlebars” is one of the fastest rising new songs of 2008 in the US, soaring to #1 on the Alternative chart, and holding down the top spot on Los Angeles’ influential radio station KROQ for more than two months running. The new video for the single has also become one of the most requested rap/rock clips in memory, leaping on to FUSE’s Rock Countdown, and making a huge impact on MTV’s TRL. Flobot’s deft mix of edgy hip hop, combustible funk and rock and socially aware wordplay has quickly garnered them a global following of fans and critics who make up the burgeoning Flobot Nation. The video has been watched an incredible 5.8 million times on YouTube and the track has also been played 1.7 million times on MySpace.

Live dates:
22nd Sept - Academy 3, Manchester
23rd Sept – King’s College, London
