Digital/CD/ 7” vinyl Release date: 3rd November 2008
Life In The Big City Records is set to release the third single by PINT SHOT RIOT.
‘Holes’ is about trying to put a smile on someone’s face in a tired relationship by offering optimism and adventure. It is filled with catchy guitar hooks and a chorus which will have you singing the days away. The song was produced by Joe McGill (The Fratellis, Sergeant). The second song on the CD ‘Ain’t No Fun’ shows the acoustic side of the band, no doubt one day there will be a full band version which will be an A side!
Hailing from the West Midlands the band have been steadily building a strong following to the point that on September 12th 2008 they played a sold out 1000 capacity Kasbah club in Coventry. The show was broadcast live around the world on Tim Lovejoys new website Channel Bee.
The band have supported the likes of Cage The Elephant, Athlete, We Are Scientists and at Coventry’s Godiva Festival this summer, The Enemy. There will be more dates to come this year including a show at the Proud Galleries in Camden on the 27th November. PSR singer Rocket will also be supporting Pete Doherty with an acoustic set in Coventry Kasbah club on the 26th September.
Their last single ‘Start Digging’ released on 7th July 2008 charted at No.3 in the Indie Chart behind Dizzee Rascal and The Last Shadow Puppets! It was played on Radio One by Huw Stephens, Zane Lowe and on 6 Music by Steve Lamacq. Juice FM Brighton and Liverpool, Xfm Scotland and NorthSound Aberdeen also played it.
