ALBERTA CROSS TO OPEN FOR OASIS PLUS LIMITED
‘THE THIEF & THE HEARTBREAKER’ EP TO BE REISSUED (ARK RECORDINGS) DEBUT ALBUM ARRIVING 2009
Release Date: October 20th
In 2007 we got a very early glimpse of Alberta Cross in the shape of their limited edition and now very much sold-out and critically acclaimed debut EP ‘The Thief And The Heartbreaker’. This and their first trip to the UK instantly captured the imagination and passions of critics and music fans alike with the band being spoken in the same breaths as The Band, Kings Of Leon, Neil Young and The Raconteurs etc. Now expanded into a new five-piece line up and based in New York, Alberta Cross are set to hit the UK again with four supports to Oasis (at Noel Gallagher’s personal request) and a headline show in the capitol.
Newly signed to Ark Recordings (home to Magic Wands, Sparkadia and Turbo Fruits among others), the band’s highly sought after EP will get a reissue with new artwork on CD and download on October 20th.
Alberta Cross are set to play the following shows with Oasis.
October
20th Bournemouth BIC Arena
21st Bournemouth BIC Arena
22nd London Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen (headline show)
23rd Cardiff International Arena
24th Cardiff International Arena
They then play a one-off headline show on Wednesday 22nd October at the Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen in London before beginning work on their debut full-length album in November/December for release in April 2009 on Ark Recordings. Expect to hear an album of some of the toughest, most heart-felt rock songs that 2009 will bring.
