Chris T-T - New single and tour!

Chris T-T - New single and tour!
Following an incredible summer of festival appearances, the poetic Chris T-T is releasing the single ‘We Are The King Of England’ on 27th October 2008 through Xtra Mile Recordings.

The opening track of current album ‘Capital’, the frenetic rock of ‘…King Of England’ is an eloquent rant with a punk spirit of disenchantment and bewilderment at the state of our nation - perfectly outlining the larger themes and ideology at the core of the album. The release includes two exclusive electro remixes of ‘…King Of England’ and album track 'Black Music' by enigmatic Brixton-based female DJ and remixer OneKitten. Praised for her work with Charlotte Hatherley amongst others, OneKitten has added new lead guitar parts and stitched in some demented beats for a killer re-imagining of ‘…King Of England.’

‘Capital,’ released back in March is the final part of Chris’s London trilogy, brings the story of a modern gritty city fraught with prejudice and fear to a climactic end. It is yet another brilliantly intricate and acerbic album, with musical styles ranging from electronic synth-pop to moody piano-led folk.

To coincide with the single release, Chris will be heading out on tour supporting Frank Turner on his biggest tour to date. Chris frequently plays piano in Frank’s band, but instead Chris will be bringing his own band (The Hoodrats) with him to provide main support throughout the whole tour. Soon after the tour ends, Frank and Chris fly over to Ireland and then Italy to play a few shows as a duo.

Be sure to check out the video for the single as well, which stars a Frank Turner hell-bent on murder and an unawares Chris T-T, whose time has come. The film was shot on location in Joshua Tree National Park earlier this year when Chris and Frank were on tour in the US.

Chris offers new versions of 4 songs from ‘Capital’: ‘Old Men’ and the heartbreaking ‘A Box To Hide In’ with just an acoustic guitar, and the new piano-led adaptation of ‘A-Z’ and the rather sinister ‘Ankles’, all beautifully showcasing his lyrical depth and significance.
