“Massive classic pop (like Beach Boys covering The Who) it’ll give you the same thrill as when you first heard Oasis or Arctic Monkeys. The best new rock band around…definitely Maybes?” News Of The World

"When Promise shines, as it does on the bustle of 'Boys' or the torch-lit stateliness of 'Trick Of The Light' it’s as timelessly cheering as anything (lee) Mavers may have locked away in his mad genius attic." NME

"Combining a Fab Four ear for short, sharp Merseybeat and a willingness to psych out…they deserve their devoted following and will surely see it grow." Sunday Times Culture 'Breaking Band'

"That such a wonderful album can still be made is heartening." Teletext

"Supreme Scouse jangle-pop with a healthily experimental edge." Word
