Michigan's EMPIRE! EMPIRE! (I WAS A LONELY ESTATE) is currently touring the East Coast in support of its latest release, the well-received 7-inch, Year Of The Rabbit. The record was co-released by the band's own Count Your Lucky Stars label and UK distro strictly no capital letters. You can pick up a copy of the 7-inch from either one.
The two songs on Year Of The Rabbit speak to the maturation of Empire! Empire! since its debut EP, When The Sea Became A Giant. In that time, the four piece has garnered comparisons to classic bands such as Mineral, Appleseed Cast and American Football. When Empire! Empire! returns home from its road adventures, the band will head directly to the studio to put the finishing touches on its debut LP, which should see an early 2009 release.
