Wayne's talking about the special, limited-edition Deluxe Edition of Christmas on Mars which will be available only through Flaming Lips This special edition will include the DVD + CD along with a collectible Christmas on Mars movie ticket (just like the ones handed out at the debut screening), an exclusive postcard set, a special screen printed popcorn box (also like the ones available only at the original festival screenings), an Eat Your Own Spaceship sticker, and an exclusive Christmas on Mars t-shirt that won't be available anywhere else. As an added bonus, a limited number of the deluxe editions will be autographed by Wayne. To make things even more interesting, only 10 Limited Edition sets will randomly contain a special Golden Ticket. Missed all the previous buzz about Christmas on Mars? Long story short, after seven years, The Flaming Lips are finally releasing their scifi fantasy film, Christmas on Mars. Coyne co-directed with George Salisbury, an audiovisual technician who works with the band, and constructed much of the set - representing Mars - in his own Oklahoma City backyard.

Christmas on Mars is now being screened at unique venues in select cities around the country and will be available on DVD on November 11th, 2008. (The score will also be available on CD on this date, too.) Christmas on Mars opened theatrically in New York City on September 12, 2008, presented in a custom-designed cinema at the KGB Complex at 85 East Fourth Street.
