FEATURES SONGS CO-WRITTEN WITH BREAKING BENJAMIN’s BEN BURNLEY & 3 DOORS DOWN GUITARIST CHRIS HENDERSON
Singer/songwriter guitarist PATRICK DRONEY made his label debut September 23, 2008 with The Other Side. The first single “Save Me” goes to rock radio this month with new video coming out in November. The album features twelve songs including “Everything” co-written with Chris Henderson of 3 Doors Down, and “Alive” co-written with Ben Burnley of Breaking Benjamin.
Patrick is among the youngest to receive multiple guitar endorsements, having started playing at the age of 7, while being raised on Eric Clapton and Ray Charles. Critics have compared his talent to one that fuses elements of Stevie Raye Vaughan, Robert Johnson and John Mayer while adding in his own original style. His talent stretches across generational lines, allowing him to perform during the Jimi Hendrix Experience Tour with the original Hendrix rhythm section in 2007 andopen for BB King and James Brown www.southjerseyvideomagazine.c om/html/2007/02feb/02242007droney.htm
His debut album not only showcases his guitar playing abilities (he won the Robert Johnson Star Award for most promising musician) but it also showcases his songwriting; an ability to write rock songs with impressive guitar solos that are rhythmically and lyrically heartfelt, while exuding a sense of isolation that defies age.A recent acoustic performance for teen magazine’s J-14 together with a July/August 2008 tour of summer camps throughout the east has endeared him with his peers.
When not performing he is busy with his philanthropic work- having raised over $1,000,000.00 for charities close to his heart.
