Live show: London ICA - Tues November 11th
Rising again in euphoric defiance, in violent redemption and a life affirming riot of brass, guitars and pounding rhythm, I Can't Help Myself is the new single from critically acclaimed debutants

The Bookhouse Boys.

Released 10th NOVEMBER on Black Records.

A crashing 9 piece orchestra of Mariachi brass, dueling drums, surf guitar and girl-boy vocals, The Bookhouse Boys burst forth from the bars and clubs of North London, with a pair of 7" singles earlier this year and an acclaimed debut album in August. Mixed by Head (PJ Harvey, Archie Bronson Outfit, Thom Yorke) their eponymously titled debut album is out now on Black Records.
"Their debut album hits the musical spot so impressively. An epic and explosive mix...
The Bookhouse Boys put a modern twist on their influences that is totally their own." NME
"Gleefully combines surf guitar, spaghetti western, southern gospel and smart, bleak songs in
the vien of Nick Cave and Calexico. These people have seriously good taste."
**** THE TIMES
"A full-blooded exercise in cowboy noir... the interplay between the male and female voices is spine-tingling." - WORD

"Music about life and death, whisky and pistols, religion and love. Step into the dark and magical world of the Bookhouse Boys. " - ARTROCKER *Recommended album*

"The most ambitious debut to land in 2008. The Bookhouse Boys are here." – CLASH
"A remarkable diversity of styles. Bloody Brilliant." - ROCKSOUND 9/10

"Imagine the soundtrack of a Pedro Almodovar flamenco western, adapted by Lynch and directed by Tarantino… sublime." - **** LONDON LITE
"The Bookhouse Boys couldn't be more exciting… being dead never sounded more alive."
THE GUARDIAN *Pick Of The Week*
