Band Info
Fight Like Apes
Synth Grunge Dubliners Fight Like Apes have just finished touring with Ting Tings and are due to support the Prodigy in December. New single ‘Jake Summers’ was released on October 20th; a prelude to a busy Autumn touring schedule ahead of the UK release of their debut album – ‘Fight Like Apes And The Mystery Of The Golden Medallion’ – on Model Citizen Records - on January 26th 2009. The album, produced by John Goodmanson, (Death cab for Cutie and Los Campesinos!) showcases their ability to mix punk infused, heartbroken, venomous pop, with more melancholic tracks like Tie Me Up With Jackets.. Influences include Patti Smith, Pavement, Sonic Youth and My Bloody Valentine.

To The Bones
Bolton four-piece To The Bones play a feral mix of riffs and melody; imagine the Pixies tackling Motorhead and Bleach era Nirvana, and you're along the right lines. The band are signed to Medici Records. Their new single “Rex”, produced by Dave Eringa (Manics, Ash, Idlewild, Supergrass) is taken from the forthcoming debut album DUKE TYPE A, and is out on September 29th.

FrankMusik
An eccentric popstar in the making, Vincent Frank cites his influences as Daft Punk, Basement Jaxx, and Busta Rhymes. Forthcoming EP “3 Little Words” is Frankmusik’s first release on Island Records, marking the emergence of an electrifying new talent. It sees 22-year-old Vince’s output evolve from relentless DIY creativity to state-of-the-art disco pop juggernauts, and is produced by Stuart Price – world-class musical cohort of Madonna and The Killers.

The Electric City
The as yet unsigned The Electric City make synth’d up, punky electro scuzz, and Prince influenced, dirty disco party anthems. NME’s pick of the week in May, their show stopping live performances have led to a management deal with the same team behind Kaiser Chiefs and Franz Ferdinand, and support slots with Fightstar and The Futureheads.

Performances at this years Leeds & Reading festivals attracted the attention of Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, and indie label Big Scary Monsters. The band are due to release “Meat Balloon”, a limited 7” vinyl, through the label in 2009.
