Australia’s No.1 band Eskimo Joe embark on their first UK Tour this December

Having just reached number 1 in Australia with their last album which went quadruple platinum selling about 400,000 copies Eskimo Joe are now branching out bringing their stadium sized indie rock songs to the UK this December.

Eskimo Joe consists of three members, Kavyen “Kav” Temperley – Lead Vocals and Bass, Joel Quartermain – Backing Vocals, Guitar, Keyboards and Drums and Stuart MacLeod – Backing Vocals and Guitar. After eight years together Eskimo Joe proves there’s a whole world of possibilities to explore – if you simply follow your heart, listen to your muse and make the most of your talent. A trio that has grown, both inside the studio and out.

“No-one in our band is in it for their ego; it’s all about the songs,” says MacLeod. “We’re very lucky to have this relationship between the three of us; it’s getting stronger and stronger, and it’s much more of a brotherhood now than it ever was.”

Eskimo Joe have rocketed to the top in Australia with comparisons to classic stadium rock bands like Coldplay, U2 and Snow Patrol. Their third album demonstrates this, as ‘Black Fingernails, Red Wine’ has now been released in both the US and Australia receiving stunning reviews and three ARIA Awards including Best Single for the album’s title track (and first U.S. single).

Quote:

"Devilishly good, Black Fingernails Red Wine has to be some kind of benchmark for Aussie rock." Australian Herald Sun

"Hot Australian band that reminds me of INXS from time to time (and I mean the good INXS, around Kick)." USA Today

Eskimo Joe head over to the UK in order to showcase their amazingly catchy, brooding new wave tones with killer hooks and a solid rock edge this December, a taster of things to come when the album is released here early next year.
