Genre bending rock monsters DORP unleash the 'London Out There' single from their 'Humans Being' album on 8th Dec 2008 on Caned & Able Records.

Despite only settling in the UK's capital a few short years ago (the band's inception was in frontman Piet & guitarist Kevins native South Africa), the quartet have already developed into a startling proposition. And the fruits of their labour can be witnessed on both their 'London out There' single and their debut album, 'Humans Being'.

''London Out There' was one of the first tracks we wrote on our arrival from South Africa in 2002", explains frontman Piet Bez. "When we arrived in London from Cape Town it was like a huge hit of adrenaline. We were struck by how everything moved at a million miles an hour - it was like the most extreme example of work hard/play hard we could ever have imagined! But there was always a seedy underbelly to it all, like it could all come crashing down at any minute. You have to keep in front of the monster or it swallows you. We never realised it would be so prophetic!"

For an aural battering of 'London Out There' (plus plenty of other goodies from the 'Humans Being' album), check out the guys live at one of the following rock sound magazine sponsored dates:

07/11 Cambridge University Cambridge
08/11 The NEC Birmingham (Get Experienced Festival Tent)
09/11 The Enterprise London
18/11 Easy Jays UCL London
19/11 Medway University Kent
21/11 Coventry University Coventry
27/11 The Twist Colchester
28/11 Edinburgh University Edinburgh
03/12 Dundee University Dundee
05/12 Vivaz Scarborough
11/12 The Marrs Bar Worcester
12/12 The Cellar Bar Blackburn

It's rare that a band can truly be described as unique, and yet Dorp truly defy categorisation and transcends today's music fan's expectations of what music can be about. Combining melodies, pop sensibilities, lashings of electronica, lyrical satire and sheer rock power, Dorp's creativity is astounding.

Humans being creative, adventurous and artistic? That'd be the four guys in Dorp.

The musical revolution starts here. Be part of it
