FOR SPECIAL PERFORMANCE THIS MORNING
Space-rock cadets The Frontier Brothers will be appeared this morning on Earth-based morning television show Good Day Austin. The appearance kicked off the Brothers' first-ever West Coast tour. Laying much of their sophisticated space technology aside, the band used traditional instrumentation to perform "Jump Blues" and "Star Globes and Stereo" from debut album Space Punk Starlet. In one of the most surreal performances to ever appear on morning television, the band donned their skin-tight spandex spacesuits and wacky face paint to blaze through manic renditions of their otherworldly tunes. Born in space and raised in Texas, the Frontier Brothers synthesize an original blend of psychedelia, 60s pop and punk spirit, which is masterfully exemplified on their upcoming debut album, Space Punk Starlet. Recently called "the love child of Randy Newman and Stephen Malkmus," (Dallas Observer), the band has won praise from critics for their sun-soaked space rock as well as their zany stage shows, which often features the trio performing in full spandex regalia. The Frontier Brothers are currently touring in support of Starlet.
