Following it’s original release in the the summer of last year Oscillation Records are proud to announce the Special Edition re-release of Coco Electrik’s debut album Army Behind The Sun.
Featuring singles Paint It Red, Sex Shooter, Apple Pie and Sasparilla Kiss, as well as all the associated remixes from Mickey Moonlight (Ed Banger Records), Crazy Girl (Tummy Touch Records), Superthriller (Mint Music) and the classic Skylab remixes of Apple Pie and Sasparilla Kiss.
The package also includes three new remixes from Skylab, Ju.Do (Tutto Matto) and the highly elusive Red Army along with two previously unreleased Coco Electrik tracks, The Girl Is Blue and Big City (She Should Have Stayed Away).
The brain-child of Australian born one-time Ken Russell associate Anne Booty (real name btw), London based Coco Electrik first surfaced with Your Love Is Gum a split single with then label mate Tom Vek.
A series of acclaimed singles followed on Tummy Touch and Oscillation Records. In 2007 Coco Electrik released her debut album, recorded a cover of Tainted Love for Audi’s Remastered campaign and saw her guest on Acoustic Ladyland’s Cuts & Lies single. More recently she has been featured on the soundtrack to The Coen Brother’s Burn After Reading and remixed Brooklyn wunderkind Kotchy. Anne is currently co-producing the second Coco Electrik album with Royal Appointment due for release next year.
