Rumors have been swirling for a while about a possible Creed reunion, and it is starting to appear likely.
Creed broke up in 2004, and most everyone remembers not only the wild success of the band before the split, but the bitterness and drama surrounding the break up. At one point, disappointed concert-goers were actually suing the band for such poor performances from Stapp who was often too intoxicated to remember the lyrics or keep himself upright through an entire song.
Stapp was replaced by Myles Kennedy and the name was changed to Alter Bridge. While Alter Bridge has never come anywhere near the success of Creed, Kennedy is well-respected for his performing abilities. He is currently being seriously considered to replace Robert Plant in an upcoming Led Zeppelin tour. Meanwhile, the remaining Alter Bridge members are reaching out to their fallen star.
Wind-Up Records, home to both projects, hasn't yet made an official statement, but one is expected soon, according to Billboard. Stapp, now married with children, is reported to be in good performing shape, and one would assume, off the sauce. I think for anyone who saw the band toward the end of their run, seeing will be believing.
