Dark Star Records are pleased to announce Rival, one of Chicago’s original power metal bands, first two CD’s “Rival” and “Modern World“ are now available for download. A German metal magazine downloaded a track from Modern World “Death Stalker” which was selected to be on “Rock Hard & Heavy, Oder Was!?” compilation CD which featured “the best of the unsigned bands.” This led to their performance in several outdoor festivals including Headbanger’s Open Air and Bang your Head. Rival’s most recent full length CD titled “State of Mind” was released in 2003 on Metal Blade Records.
