Buckcherry And Avenged Sevenfold Announce Continuation of Co-Headlining Tour

Major Market US Dates with Papa Roach and Saving Abel Begin January 28th in Salt Lake City, UT; Tickets On Sale Beginning December 12, 2008

Building on the success of their current co-headlining tour, Avenged Sevenfold and Buckcherry have announced the next leg beginning on January 28th in Salt Lake City, UT. The next dates on the arena tour include Papa Roach and Saving Abel, offering fans 4 bands for under $40.00. The Buckcherry and Avenged Sevenfold package is considered to be one of the three major successful rock tours of the season, along with AC/DC and Metallica. Fred Frank from Frank Productions, who were a part of the last leg and have signed on to promote much of the major market arena tour observes, “Here is a situation where the bands realize what the economy is doing and have put together an incredible package that gives the fans more than their money’s worth. It is also one of the few shows we’ve seen in a long time where the fans are there from the time the doors open to the time the last band leaves…they want to see ALL of them, they come to party and they stay for the show!”

Avenged Sevenfold have been on the road for more than a year, playing to packed arenas on the fourth annual Rockstar Taste of Chaos tour, as well as a European tour with rock legends Iron Maiden. The band is touring behind the self-produced Avenged Sevenfold, which topped the Billboard Alternative, Hard, and Rock charts the week after its release in October 2007 and is now certified gold. The follow-up to 2005’s million-selling, hit spawning and MTV Video Music Award-winning, City of Evil, Avenged Sevenfold also debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200, marking the biggest sales week ever for the quintet. It also saw the band gracing the covers of Revolver (twice), Guitar World, Guitar Player and Drum! magazines. Avenged Sevenfold recently captured their spectacular stage show in an acclaimed DVD/CD package called Live in the LBC & Diamonds in the Rough, which features their elaborate April 10th hometown headlining show at the Long Beach Arena, as well as previously unreleased b-sides and other never-before-heard material.

Dubbed the “Next Great American Rock Band,” Buckcherry has evolved from playing in front of 200 people to sold-out crowds of tens of thousands in just two years. Buckcherry will be touring in support of their latest album, Black Butterfly, which was recently named iTunes Rock Album of the Year. The album produced iTunes choices for the #2 Rock Song of the Year, “Too Drunk…” and the #8 Rock Song of the Year, “Rescue Me,” as well as critically acclaimed songs such as “A Child Called It” and “Don’t Go Away.” The album debuted at #8 on Billboard’s Top 200, giving the band their first Top 10 album debut. Black Butterfly follows the platinum success of 15, and hit songs like “Lit Up,” “Everything,” “Crazy Bitch” and the mainstream crossover smash “Sorry.” Black Butterfly was also recently ranked #1 on Stephen King’s Top 10 albums of 2008 for Entertainment Weekly, stating, “Black Butterfly was the best hard-rock album I heard this year.” The video for “Don’t Go Away” can be seen on VH1.

Multi-platinum, Grammy Nominated alternative rock force Papa Roach have had a number of Top 10 Billboard singles including “Last Resort”, “Forever”, “Getting Away With Murder”, “Scars” and “To Be Loved”. Their next album Metamorphosis, will be released in early 2009.

Saving Abel has enjoyed impressive success with their multi-format smash debut single "Addicted” which reached #1 at mainstream rock radio and is a top 10 Top 40 and top 15 AC hit. The follow-up, "18 Days," is a rock ballad dedicated to the troops.
