Hotly tipped to be one of the bands to watch in 2009, Liverpool based 18 year olds, Screaming Lights release their debut double A Side single GMN / Glow, through ANTI on limited edition 7” vinyl only, on Monday 19th January. The single will be available to download one month earlier on December 22nd.

Having recently completed a UK tour with the Mystery Jets, one side of their double A side single GMN (Genetically Modified Nightmare) has been playlisted at XFM and has already featured in Zane Lowe’s “Top 10 Hottest Records of the Week”. It was also featured earlier today on Jo Whiley’s Radio One show. A session recorded for XFM will be broadcast on Tuesday 23rd December between 11pm – 1am and repeated on 19th January.

Formed just over a year ago they soon developed a must-see live reputation in their native Liverpool following a string of dates showcasing their distinctive sound and the charismatic skills of their front man James Treadell.

Screaming Lights are: Alan Breen (bass), James Connor (drums), Max Goldberg (guitar) & James Treadell (vocals / guitar).

“From euphoric organs to dirty driving guitars in a heartbeat, their debut single somehow manages to both rave and rock. Mosh the dancefloor.” (NME)
